Epithalon vs Pinealon

Epitalon and Pinealon compared: structure, identity data and regulatory status. Research Use Only.

By Ageless Research TeamReviewed October 29, 2026

Epithalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) and Pinealon (Glu-Asp-Arg) are short synthetic peptides from the same Russian research tradition and are often mentioned together. They are different molecules: Epithalon is a tetrapeptide and Pinealon is a tripeptide.

Epithalon

Epithalon, also called Epitalon or AEDG, is a synthetic linear tetrapeptide composed of Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly and derived from the pineal extract epithalamin. It is not FDA-approved. FDA lists it among substances nominated for compounding whose nomination was withdrawn, and no EMA, UK MHRA or Australian ARTG marketing authorization was identified in the reviewed evidence. [3][4]

Pinealon

Pinealon, also called EDR or L-glutamyl-L-aspartyl-L-arginine, is a synthetic tripeptide. It is not FDA- or EMA-approved for any indication in the reviewed evidence. Ageless Peptides does not supply Pinealon.
